Its 12.30pm Sunday afternoon and I'm kickin it by the blow-up pool in the front yard of a sharehouse old Queenslander on a street where every second house is filled with students and twenty-somethings....
We're sitting on the front deck with beers in hand ... Neighbors walking pass, knowing they are just heading home to pick up beers to come back and party ....
Picture THIS and THESE Tunes in the Background (Cause our heads are still hurting from the night before)

Parklife this year is perfect for Empire... With acts that sprinkle that specific taste that the Empire kids feed on we are happy to host the Official Parklife After-Party.
For the FIRST time in Empire history we are opening ALL THREE LEVELS under ONE ticket. With The GLIMMERS pumping it out in the NuDisco Room (Moon Bar), A-TRAK smashing it out on the Electro Level (Middle Bar) and The RAPTURE DJs jamming out at the INDIE-ELECTRO Room (Empire Corner Bar)
One of my favorite acts that I'll be looking forward to seeing are the NuDisco Kings, Aeroplane... These guys just have a full on awesome disco sound and bring disco glory to anything they touch....
Here's one of my favorite remixes of theirs and their August Mix for those kids who want more....
Friendly Fires - Paris (Aeroplane Remix) - Get IT!!
Snob is doing his Farewell Monkey Tour at the moment and is dropping back into Empire after his show to do an after-party!!! He may be "Snob" by name but to be real... Sean Raye (Snob Scrilla's real name) is doing ALL he can about using his fame to bring it back to those less fortunate... With his lyrics entrenched with meaningful undertones, when you actually listening to his work, you get the real Sean Raye and find out what his alter-ego, "Snob Scrilla" is really about....
I'm gonna throw down a couple of clips; First up is his Clip for "Chasing Ghosts", well.. It really isn't but what Snob Scrilla did was let the gang from the Charity "Youth Off The Streets" fill the song with footage... Followed by when he went back to the group to show them the clip... The "Chasing Ghosts" Clip starts off with this;
This is not the video clip for "Chasing Ghosts".
There isn't one.
Snob gave the scrilla to Youth off the Streets - www.youthoffthestreets.com.au and shot this with the youth from Mac Fields and Airds.
Thanks to everyone who was involved - the volunteers, the Bboys who came down, the band - and thanks for making this clip super rad.
Thought I'd also throw down a clip of my favourite Snob Scrilla track, "Heartbreak Scorsese" PLUS below is a remix by AWESOME "Up & Comer" Blaze Tripp
Thought I'd take the time to plug something fucking AWESOME (Even if you'd prefer your Bloody Beetroots than the Fedde Le Grands).... Stereosonic is coming up fast with tixx available from the 20th of August and with headliners from Deadmau5 & John Dahlback to Crookers & Surkin, its OK if you jump around screaming like a little bitch fellas....
Dudes and Dudets... I give you...
Swidish House Mafia
Comprised of 3 MASSIVE DJs - Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell who is playing at this years Stereosonic. With honorary members like Eric Prydz and Laidback Luke (only because, according to their passports, their place of residence is not in Sweden - which i think is great) the Swedish House Mafia have their own club night in Ibiza and Tour under the SHM bannerall over the world.
But, and this is whats Fucking AWESOME, when they're in Ibiza for the full summer of parties they invite DJs from all over the world to collaborate on anything and everything. Last summer the gang from TV Rock (Whom Goodwill is long time friends of the Mafia) got together to work on a track that is worthy of awesomness!! It features at the end of the Mafia's "Dark Forest Opening" in Ibiza video.... Watch and Enjoy!!

This 2CD set is an off-beat, unpredictable and at times down-right bizarre collection of indie-electro-pop-marvels. Genre, style and era are bent, crushed, melted, disassembled, and finally welded back together to bring you a track-listing that is as unlikely as it is faultless.
Once you’ve worn your headphones down to frayed metal threads, make sure you check out the Mashed National Tour as it brings complete mayhem to clubs across the country. With Beni, Miami Horror, and their many guests and friends, things will quite simply never be the same again.
FEATURED on the CD - In Flagranti, David Bowie, La Roux, The Juan Maclean, Bag Raiders, MEN, Yuksek Amanda Blank, Little Boots, Lost Valentinos, NASA, Phoenix, Tiga, Digitalism, Jesse Rose, Classixx, Herbert, Van She, Sebastien Tellier, KIM, The Golden Filter, and Zombie Nation
BENI - InTheMix.com.au Despite his career as simply Beni being relatively short so far, the man behind the mask, or in this case, the bandanna, Beni Single has been tearing up clubs for years. As a founding member of local larrikins the Bang Gang Deejays, Beni’s been an inspirational leader for the Australian club scene, and with his work in the now defunct Riot In Belgium, he showed off his skills as a floor-crushing studio tweaker.
